The band’s album ‘Pyromania’ was selling millions of copies in the U.S. and their videos were all over MTV when in 1984 he lost his left arm in a car crash. His bandmates famously stood by him and he remained in the group — retraining himself with new techniques and a customized electronic drum kit. Allen’s Raven Drum Foundation now helps other survivors of trauma. I spoke with Allen about the power of drum circles, drinking tea with AC/DC’s Bon Scott and the music he is most proud of making.

Included in the event are beautiful accommodations, the great outdoors, fireside chats, one-of-a-kind drum circles, and yoga & mindfulness exercises – all on top of the transformational programming and speakers that are lined up.

Storytelling and Music to benefit Raven Drum Foundation

Not busy on September 9th/10th? Then join me in Healdsburg, CA for some fantastic charity fundraising events! Raven Drum Foundation is joining up with Chateau Diana Winery to present a special afternoon of storytelling and music. The concert event is on the 9th where you can join us for food, drinks, a silent auction, and then a live performance featuring my wife Lauren Monroe, myself, and special guests.

Those who would like to donate at the VIP level can also join us the next morning (the 10th) at 10am with a reserved seat at our Healing Drum Circle. It will include celebrity guest drummers Alvin Taylor and Franklin Vanderbilt along with first responders, victims of the Tubbs fire, and additional special guests! Thank You!!

Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support. Your love and prayers are truly helping. My wife Lauren was thankfully not with me at the time of the incident. We are together now, and working on recovering in a safe space. We are focusing on healing for everyone involved. We ask you to join us in our effort to move from confusion and shock to compassion and empathy. We understand this act of violence can be triggering for so many people. To all of the fans, veterans, and first responders in our global community we are thinking of you all. Together with love, we can all get through these difficult times.
